OMEGA is a flexible, powerful and user-friendly crew management system designed to meet the most demanding requirements from global organizations. The system is specifically designed for the payroll and crewing department, which is in charge of crew planning and salary accounts. OMEGA is used by more than 90 shipping companies worldwide – and the onboard solution on more than 1.000 vessels.
OMEGA is a Danish quality product – but for global use. It has been developed in close co-operation with a large number of international shipping companies during many years. We continue to develop the software, in order to have one of the best products on the market. We perform all the development ourselves inhouse Soft-Team, which also makes it possible for us to create tailor made solutions if needed.
OMEGA is a very mature piece of software. The beginning of OMEGA’s history is dated back to 1989. That was the year where OMEGA (in the very first version 1) was built. Originally it was a pure maritime payroll program, as it in Denmark was very complicated to creating a correct payslip to a seafarer. Different kind of agreements, different currencies, different nationalities, different vessel flags etc. All in all items which make maritime payroll very different from all other kind of payroll processing.
Therefore – a need was born for a maritime payroll software – and the solution OMEGA.
During the many year of development, OMEGA has been groving and groving, and today it is a 50/50 percentage payroll- and crewing system. The latest version – the 4. generation of OMEGA – is named: OMEGA Endeavour XE.
Today, most of the Danish (50+) shipping companies are using OMEGA, and additionally 50 others shipping companies world wide.
