Add-On Module ODBC Database Driver 

An ODBC driver uses the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface by Microsoft that allows applications to access data in database management systems (DBMS) using SQL as a standard for accessing the data. ODBC permits maximum interoperability, which means a single application can access different DBMS.

 

OMEGA’s ODBC Driver are deployed in two different version. One version incl. full access – and a second incl. read-only access.

 

Installing an ODBC driver into Windows, makes it possible for all database component applications to connect to OMEGA. The ODBC Driver is contained within a single DLL with no external libraries required. The ODBC Driver contains an easy-to-use configuration wizard for creating and modifying user and system data sources, and also supports direct driver connections using a connection string.
